INTRODUCTION: The school promotes the creation of a paper guide on the Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the which presents the spatial features, cities major, history, language, folklore, famous people who were born there, the tourist resources and the artistic heritage of the region. The guide will be accompanied by several images. The whole class turns into a drawing made by an expert in different fields: writing (journalist), geography, history, literature, art (tour guide), graphics and photography. Each first-class Institute will compete in the enterprise, the best work will be exhibited in the school and will print 100 copies to be sent to the main tourist boards in the region.
TASK must develop a guide on paper (Word) in which there are five pieces of 10,000 characters each (including spaces) - by observing the margins of 2.5 cm (right and left) and 3 cm (upper and lower) - accompanied by pictures and captions relating to following topics:
- the spatial features
- major cities;
- the history, language and folklore;
- the famous writers who were born there;
- tourism and heritage.
For each text you need to choose a catchy title so as to capture the reader's attention.
PROCEDURE The teacher divides the class into five groups on the basis of a discussion starts in the classroom and aims at linking Featured student preferences for different aspects of research. It states that the material will be searched only on the Internet to determine the scope of research to the web focusing the kids on this kind of "library". The roles assigned within the groups are very similar for each group, in fact, is established the presence of a journalist (deals with the final drafting of the text and keep a diary of the work), a photographer (you mainly deals with the iconographic apparatus and monitors the time at work), a chart (click the layout of text and images, and continually transcribes sites visited). Those that are roles geographer, historian, writer and tour guide will instead be the main coordinators of the group during the research phase and will play the role of moderator of the discussions between the components.
Group 1: "The spatial features: the 'topography, hydrography and climate." Are assigned roles: geographer, photographer, journalist and graphic designer.
Group 2: "The major cities: Trieste, Udine, Gorizia and Pordenone. Are assigned roles: historian, photographer, journalist and graphic designer.
Group 3: "The history, language and folklore." Are assigned roles: historian, photographer, journalist and graphic designer.
Group 4: "The writers showing that you were born: Svevo, Saba and Pasolini. " Are assigned roles: writer, photographer, journalist and graphic designer.
Group 5: "Tourism and heritage: the major resorts, museums and Villa Manin. Are assigned roles: tour guide, photographer, journalist and graphic designer.
Once the research and writing of the work and the revision of the writings by the teacher, each student will receive a copy of the guide printed in the Friuli Venezia Giulia, which will provide study materials.

ASSESSMENT indicators for the assessment will cover the production and final written reports of collaboration in the group instauratesi:
- organization of written text (textual coherence and cohesion; grammatical correctness, and use of organic material; graphic design and creative skills);
- organization of work within the group (level of cooperation, commitment and participation; accountability, openness to dialogue and discussion to resolve conflicts, respect of delivery and timing, effectiveness of the logbook).
CONCLUSION The teacher will trigger a discussion with the boys to reflect on the processes put in place during the research and writing (comprehension, selection, organization, prioritization, synthesis ...) looking for information on the difficulties faced Web (the validity of sites ...) and points of weakness and strength of the web and processed products: students will be able to explain their views on the type of activity and its effectiveness (Metacognition). It will also set up a card from the teacher evaluation in which each student will be asked to give a score to its commitment during the activity with respect to time (or not respected), in search of material (adequate or inadequate), accuracy the final paper, in its contribution within the group.
